Uk Hifi Show Sunday March 4th

The Hifi Show. Sunday March 4th 2012 10am-5pm
Yes! It's here again - and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before! Nicknamed the 'Pie-Fi Show' due to its superb location just outside the town of Melton Mowbray, this well-established and unique event in the annual hi-fi calendar offers visitors the opportunity to listen to a stunning variety of superb, 'real life' music systems.
From classic to modern; from computer source to vinyl; from Arcam to XTZ; and from budget to no expense spared - just about every possible way to reproduce music can be heard here. Best of all, the lack of any commercial constraints means that these systems have been assembled without any compromises.
Hi-fi enthusiasts demonstrating their own systems to the public? Sounds like some sort of 'anorak' event? Well, trust Hifipig - it's not! There will be around 50 systems, from budget (and incredibly good ones at that) to absolute top end. Think of any name from the world of hi-fi and you're likely to hear it in one of the rooms.
HiFi Wigwam has been in existence for many years and is one of the most lively, humorous, controversial and irreverent forums on the Internet! Members come from a seemingly infinite range of ages, hobbies, occupations, backgrounds, and most of all, opinions.
But there is one thing all the forum members share: an abiding passion for music and for reproducing it to the highest possible standards. Some build their equipment from scratch; some modify it extensively; a few just measure it; and many simply buy it... but it is all of absolutely outstanding quality.
Located just a few miles from the picturesque town of Melton Mowbray, and with easy access, the Scalford Hall Hotel has been the show venue for a number of years. With attractive gardens and ample parking it is ideal, and the hotel also has a decent restaurant and bar which will be open all day.
Not to be misses!!!

New Audiophile Hifi Cable Manufacturer

I recently received a message through one of the websites i go on about a new audiophile hifi cable manufacturer from the UK. Curious I had a look at the website as i was after a headphone cable for my new Grado 325is 'phones.
The guy I spoke to at Reference Fidelity Components couldn't have been more helpful and although he didn't have a suitable cable on the site he agreed to make one for me. The cable is very well built and does its job perfectly -so much better than the flimsy stuff you can buy through manufacturers themselves. The cable is now on sale through the website priced at a very reasonable £45 for a 5metre cable. The headphone cable uses Klotz low capacitance twin core cable and professional quality Neutrik quarter inch NJ3FC6 sockets with NP3X black gold plated quarter inch jack plugs.

I did suggest that he call the cable the "Hifipig Headphone Cable" but he decided to go with Fidelity Voyager in keeping with the rest of his range of interconnects, mains cable and digital cables.

If you are after a great audiophile hifi cable at a fantastic price you really could do a lot worse than talk to these people.
